England Historic Test Series Win against India


The England cricket team on Monday broke a 28-year-old jinx by achieving a historic Test series win on Indian top soil, send-off the hosts England won Test Series 2-1 result in their favour after the fourth and final match ended in a draw here and the last time an English side had defeated India in their own hideaway was method back in 1984-85, under the captaincy of David Gower.

The day belong to centurions Jonathan Trott (143) and Ian Bell’s unbeaten 116 even as the story remained the same for a unlucky India who toiled with no much achievement before the match was called off on the final day with England scoring 352 for four and the Bell and debutant Joe Root (20) were at the crease when the stumps were drawn for the final time in the series and the Man of the Match is named James Anderson and England captain and Man of the Series is Alastair Cook.

And the previous Indian team home series lose is also the first time in the last eight years that India have suffer a Test series defeat at home and the Australia beat India 2/1 in 2004-05.
